Seagry Stud

	The yard consists of a new American barn complex with loose box stabling for 10 horses and two additional large foaling boxes in a quiet separate block are fitted with CCTV for easy monitoring.

	All boxes in the barn are fitted with top of the range Soft-Stall flooring. This is a special 3 inch thick cushion floor. Providing a therapeutic surface that encourages horses to relax and lie down. It provides heat insulation and protection from abrasion. Mares and foals love it.

	Wood pellet sawdust works perfectly with the Soft-Stall flooring and all boxes are kept scrupulously clean.

	All boxes are fitted with ‘Haybars’ to provide the ideal feeding position for the horses and to reduce labour for the staff.

	The yard has a recently constructed 20x60 manege with a full drainage system and a Peter Heap synthetic surface. This is a fantastic surface which has remained rideable even when the temperatures fall to -10° C.

	Horses are transported in our own Iveco 65E 12 two horse lorry.

	The stud has its own paddocks and pasture with quality post and rail fencing. We are lucky to have good sloping pasture surrounding the yard, where all paddocks can be seen from the main house. A new land drainage system was installed in all fields during 2008.

	This is a ‘No Mud’ yard and all gateways have stone pads, all pathways are stone and the yard has a concrete apron. All horses are hosed down on entering the barn.

	Only top quality first crop haylage is fed to our horses.

	All stables are fitted with automatic drinkers.

	All water used on the yard and in the field troughs comes from a 16,000 litre rainwater tank which captures rain from the stables and house. This is not only environmentally sound but also gives the horses a natural, soft water to drink.

	We have installed the latest technology of security alarm on the premises. We have a total of 6 CCTV surveillance cameras in place and the barn is fitted with a fire/smoke alarm and intruder alarm with GSM dialing to ensure that our horses and equipment always stay safe.

	Our policy is to constantly improve our facilities to ensure that we maintain an outstanding yard.
