Stravinsky

Vonanda our eventing mare is by Stravinsky.

Stravinsky who sadly passed away in 2009 raced in Poland from 1990-92, and achieved excellent results. Out of 28 starts he recorded 7 wins, 6 second, 5 thirds, and 6 fourth’s. Exceptionally he then switched to dressage where he competed to Prix St George in Sweden and Intermediare II in Denmark. He is an incredibly versatile stallion who makes the idea eventing sire when combined with jumping blood.

Stravinsky is a homozygous black stallion, so does not produce chestnut offspring. He has sired 6 approved stallions and numerous premium mares. His latest foal crop in the UK did extremely well in the BEF Futurity series, and were highly commended by the Oldenburg Verband inspector.
