Kate (Vonanda)

KATE NOW AVAILABLE AS A BROODMARE (ON BEHALF OF A CLIENT)....Kate is a Dutch KWPN registered mare by the highly versatile stallion Stravinsky out of a Ramiro Z mare. Although she is made to Event, the quality of her paces are good enough for pure dressage. She combines the excellent thoroughbred blood of Stravinsky (racing success and dressage achievement) with the top jumping blood of Ramiro Z. Vonanda is a big athletic Eventing mare currently. She is a superb cross-country horse with a strong galloping stride and a very big bold jump, and consistently scores well in her dressage tests. She was amongst the highest scoring dressage rounds at two of her 2011 competitions with sub 30 scores. She is a lovely forward going horse with a quick hind leg and is simply a 'Really nice person'. This mare has been properly produced, with great care and attention so does not require a professional rider to get the most out of her.

Kate Started eventing in 2010 and had 7 outings, the last 2 at Novice level. She started the 2011 season with a good outing at Poplar Park at BE100 level and a second at Great Witchingham where sadly she twisted a shoe in deep mud at the first fence in showjumping and had to retire. She competed at Burnham Market where she came 3rd in her section and qualified for the Badminton Grassroots Regional qualifier. She recorded one of the best dressage scores of the day at 28 and then again at Milton Keynes where she scored another superb 29 dressage. We withdrew her from the XC both here and at Little Downham where we judged the going as dangerously hard.
In her career she did not recorded a single XC jumping penalty.
Make no mistake, this is a very special mare who will now make a super broodmare.

As she is sold as a broodmare and is slightly lame, but not in pain, she is being sold at a very reasonable price. The most important thing is that she goes to a great home where she will be really appreciated and used to breed some super foals.
